Olori Babes fairytale continues as they recorded yet another victory against their more illustrious opponents in their second game of the playoffs as they defeated Pelican Stars of Calabar.

Coach Abayomi Olorunda made one change to the team that beat Moje Queens in their first game as Effiong Mercy was replaced with Joy Ugwu in the starting line up.

Pelican Stars whom trashed Police Machine of Uyo 4-1 were unable to contained the determine girls from Warri whom had most of the ball possessions in the first 20 minutes.

Olori Babes broke the deadlock in 20th minutes when Captain Osaze Enoma scores from a rebound after Ifunanya Ugwu’s laid a cross inside the 18 yard box to give the Warri side an advantage before half time.

Pelican Stars came back stronger in the second half as Olori Babes goalkeeper was forced to make a crucial save to deny Pelican an equaliser as the Warri based club cruise to their second victory to lead the race for the promotion ticket.

Olori Babes will play Police Machine this Friday in their last game of the playoffs as a win or draw with see them gain authomatic promotion to the NWPL and return professional female football back to Warri.
